Overview
The Special Collections and Archives department at Wright Library contains a robust collection of rare books, manuscripts, archival material, artifacts, and artwork. The collection includes more than 100,000 rare printed works, nearly 6,000 linear feet of archival material, thousands of manuscript pages, and an evolving collection of art and artifacts. Major collections include the Seminary archives, alumni records, rare books and pamphlets related to theological study, personal papers, records of churches and other religious organizations, research collections, and non-textual materials related to the history of the Presbyterian and Reformed traditions and ecumenical Christianity.

Highlights
Particular strengths of Special Collections and Archives are its documentation of the Seminary’s history, including works by and about Seminary faculty; American Presbyterianism; English and American Puritanism; Presbyterian missions; hymnology; and the history of Presbyterian missionary work, particularly in Korea.

Appointments are required and must be requested at least one week in advance.
Tuesday–Thursday 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Special Collections & Archives will be closed May 12-14, 2026 for Alumni Reunion and Graduation activities.
